Acrylic, nickel-silver fixtures, printed inserts 82 x 12 x 6 cms in museum case. 2021

This is a 3 wagon triptych consisting of a single split image derived from the radio signal in the frequency of a specific element or molecule. In this instance; the molecule chlorophyll. This signal has been degraded through a series of digital applications then redrawn by hand. The resulting image is then reconstituted by means of signal to noise extraction and sharpening.

The 00 Scale series of artworks function as a commentary on the methodology of contemporary scientific model-making. In that instance we have seen the inadequacies of the process multiplied by the extensive use of computers. In these works, that potential for error is overcome by the use of the phenomenology of the model railway environment and associated mechanics.

All works include artwork in display case, Certificate of Provenance, hanging fixtures (screw spacer, rawlplugs and screws) and instructions. Postage Free.
