Tao Tie 3. 1983. Aluminium foil and diffraction foil on plywood, carved wood. 250 cms tall

Based on the Chinese ceramic form of opposing dragon faces, the surfaces are made out of embossed aluminium foil tiles with inlaid diffraction foil. The solidity of the piece is subverted by a quantum rainbow of coloured light seemingly occupying the centre of mass.
